Dance Recital Portraits
Yesterday my husband Erik and I had the privilege of attending the dance recital of a friend’s daughter. At our church, we are all about living in community. We try to be intentional about inviting people in our community into the natural rhythms of our lives. We are blessed that we are able to be part of a small group made up of such amazing people. They are truly wonderful and we love spending time with them. In an effort to live out what we believe about community, our friend invited us to attend the dance recital of her 3-year old daughter. I didn’t hesitate for a second when she invited us, as I’m pretty much in love with her daughter, and her mom is one of the nicest, funniest, coolest people I’ve ever met.
Having no kids ourselves or experience with dance recitals, we had no idea it was going to be a 2 hour recital, but it was no problem, because It was fun to watch the dancers and I really loved seeing all the different costumes. There had to be almost 30 different costume changes!
During the intermission, went outside to stretch our legs and snap some photos. Isn’t she adorable in her rainbow tutu costume? She is so photogenic. I could photograph her all the time! Photographing their family is actually something I have wanted to do for awhile. They are all amazing and we love them, and they are a good looking family! In conclusion, photographing a friend and enjoying their recital made for a day well spent.
